Silver beards manipulated into rigid spokes, incredible foot-long handlebars and pointed moustaches were all on display.
And judges were left scratching their own modest beards while trying to consider whose facial hair stood out from the crowd.
Among
those in attendance, Dieter Besuch sported an amazing ten ringlets from
his beard as well as an additional two from his moustache.
While one of the younger competitors, Benny Reinhold, showed off his immaculate moustache alongside his clean shaven cheeks.
Participant
Norbert Topf dazzled with a beard that looked like it would have taken
more than a few hours in front of the mirror to perfect.

The
gentleman displayed their facial fuzz by competing in different
categories in three vital groups - moustache, partial beard and full
beard.
The
moustaches include the 'English' - long and thin hairs pulled to the
side - and the 'Dali' - long and narrow tips that arch or go up at the
end, in the style of the Spanish surrealist painter.
While the partial beard category includes the 'Musketeer' - a pointed beard accompanied by a long and narrow moustache.
The
final full beard group includes 'Freestyle', which is showcased in the
many eccentric efforts that has helped make the competition so popular.
